Retired NFL Player J.J. Watt sends a STRONG Message About Taylor swift and Travis Kelce ‘She’s just supporting her man, I can’t understand why people are so upset about it, GET a life.

In the months following the public revelation of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship, it seems like everyone has something to say about this high-profile couple.

Negative comments tend to grab the most attention, which makes retired NFL player J.J. Watt’s positive message about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his pop superstar girlfriend all the more refreshing.
Watt, who retired from the NFL after the 2022 season and currently serves as an NFL analyst for CBS Sports, recently shared his thoughts on the immense attention that Swift and Kelce’s romance has received during Chiefs games this season.
“I think it’s great. I can’t understand why people are so upset about it,” Watt expressed to Us Weekly on Monday, January 29. “I mean, they show celebrities at games all the time. Don’t act like we don’t show male celebrities at games all the time. I don’t really understand why it’s caused such an uproar.”

The former defensive end continued, saying, “I mean, she’s literally there supporting her significant other, and that’s what you should do as a significant other. So I think that it’s great.”
Because Swift has introduced so many new NFL fans to the sport-who may not have otherwise watched professional football-Watt believes that the increased interest “should be nothing but celebrated.”
Watt isn’t the only former NFL player or coach to offer their perspective on the media frenzy surrounding Kelce and Swift’s relationship. Hall-of-Famer Tony Dungy implied that the “Cruel Summer” singer was contributing to “disenchanting people with sports now.” Meanwhile, retired NFL player Shannon Sharpe shared a pointed message about Swift’s impact on the sport.
Celebrities and athletes from other sports have also chimed in on Swift and Kelce’s relationship. From Lamar Odom’s dating advice to Jessie James Decker’s bold prediction about their future to The View co-hosts debating Kelce’s “red flags,” there’s no shortage of opinions.
Fortunately, Kelce mentioned that he and Swift are adept at tuning out “anything that’s outside noise” and hopefully, they will continue to do so.
